Two Contrasting Cowl Patterns
I’ve finally got around to writing up the patterns for two simple cowls I have made over the past month.

One month ago I de-activated my Facebook account and lo-and-behold I suddenly had time to crochet and started completing projects too.
At the beginning of January I took the decision to start to make a concerted effort to start using up my stash. My aim is to create one off pieces that showcase how recycled fabrics and clothes can be used to make new ones.
My aim for the year, is to showcase what can be created and made using sustainable materials. The ideal scenario will be to use what I already have to hand.
I’ve been working on being more visible! I find it very difficult to share pictures of myself enjoying my craft – but here I am at work in my craft room in Portugal.
Sadly, my 100 Day Project came to an end. Despite my best efforts there was just no way I was going to get it off the ground.
I tend to be a think and go sort of person and don’t usually take time to plan.
I’m not the fastest at crochet, or sewing, or knitting, at most things to be honest, but I am quite patient and quite thorough. As a consequence it means I don’t churn out a vast number of projects in a short amount of time
The weather here as been fairly poor for our first week, lots of rain, lots of wind and so plenty of time to be spent indoors working on small projects – both crochet and sewing.
For the past couple of weeks I’ve been making crochet shapes for submission to the International Diploma in Crochet
